Rocky Start Foundation does
critically important - and wonderfully rewarding - work helping our
community's smallest and most helpless citizens - the critically ill babies born
each year in and around Southern California; babies born too soon, too
small or too sick.
Funds raised through Rocky Start directly benefit the
growing needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and include
the purchase of critical neonatal equipment, funding research and training
of the pediatric physicians and nurses who play such a vital role in the
lives of these tiny babies. Since 2002, Rocky Start has donated
more than $600,000 to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UCI Medical
Center. But much work remains to be done if we are to continue, to achieve
our important mission.

With ever-improving health care and technology,

cost of that care and equipment is extremely expensive. The goal of the
Rocky Start Foundation is to raise $1 million to purchase all of the
equipment that is on the NICU Wish List.
